Career Prospects This IBMS (Institute of Biomedical Sciences) accredited programme provides the academic requirements to enable graduates to apply for registration as a biomedical scientist. They can also apply to become HCPC Registered and obtain their professional qualifications. Many graduates go on to research degrees and to jobs in research institutes, industrial research laboratories, pathology laboratories, research in hospitals or pharmaceutical companies and in sales. Because the degree is broadly based, it is also an excellent qualification for a teaching career. Moreover, they may choose to continue their studies for a masters degree.
