Careers Computing graduates can be employed in any company that utilizes computer systems, that is from small sized business to large corporations. Almost every company in the modern world has the need for Information Technology specialists. Literally, graduates can work everywhere. Excellent job opportunities can be found in Northern Europe where there is a growing demand for software engineers. Computing programmes are designed to be vocational, with the content aligned to the needs of the industry. Students are taught using the same hardware and software that they will encounter in employment. In the final year all students undertake a major project on an aspect of advanced technology relevant to the IT industry. Many of these projects are prompted by enquiries from local companies and there is untapped potential to develop work placements.
