Description
The mission of the ΒΑ (Hons) Sport Management at Metropolitan College is to provide students with the theoretical and practical skills in terms of managing sport organizations, both at a local and international context. It offers students the opportunity to enrich their knowledge in management principles, as well as the financial, social, and cultural realm of the sport industry.
Nowadays the sport product is not contained within fields and venues, but also expands to areas such as tourism, recreation, culture, education, health and entertainment. The growth of the sport management field creates a pivotal need for sport organizations to be recruited with specialized sport management experts that will assist sport with strategic management, budgeting, human resources, marketing/sponsorship, venue management, legal issues etc. The main goal of the BA (Hons) Sport Management programme is to equip students with the necessary skills to ensure their professional evolution as efficient members of the sport industry. In other words, to create sport managers that will be responsible for sport programming, budgeting, promotion and community involvement efforts.
