THE COURSE AIMS TO:
Train competent Dramatherapists and Playtherapists with a large range of experience and personal development.
To work with a wide variety of clients, emotionally disturbed, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, persons suffering from bereavement, task-oriented clientele, and eating disorders. Also with people, who want to expand their role repertoire, tap their creativity and broaden their perspective of life.
DESCRIPTION
• Four year part time training in Dramatherapy (by the standards of EAP (European Association of Psychotherapists)
• Four year part time training in Playtherapy (by the standards of EAP (European Association of Psychotherapists)
For certified psychotherapists
• Two year training in Dramatherapy
• Two year training in Playtherapy
Diploma in Supervision
• Two year training in Dramatherapy and Playtherapy supervision certified by B.A.D.T.H. (The British Association of Dramatherapists)
THE PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
1st year (Foundation year)
Two introductory workshops in Dramatherapy and Playtherapy presented by an international professional plus the participation in a Dramatherapy/Playtherapy group with a duration of 48 hours)
2nd-3rd year
• Theory in Dramatherapy/Playtherapy
• Supervision of the practical work
• Psychology
• Psychiatry
• Theatrical workshop
• Theatrology
• Tutorials for the written work
4th year
• Theory in Dramatherapy/Playtherapy
• Supervision of the practical work
• Psychology
• Psychiatry
• Theatrical workshop
• Tutorial for final thesis
INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOPS
During the four years of training 8 international workshops of 8 hour duration
PRACTICAL WORK IN SCHOOLS-PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALS- CLINICS
During the training this practice work will be 176 hours for the Dramatherapists and 250 for the Playtherapists
PERSONAL THERAPY
Personal therapy is mandatory with a qualified Dramatherapist/Playtherapist registered with the Panhellenic Professional Association for Dramatherapists and Playtherapists. (Minimum 250 hours)
